Working with architects, IID we have created and installed fun, colour-coded, themed wall graphics and signage throughout this Prep School that have brought the school's interior spaces to life.
The concept for the internal graphics centred around the themed corridors that the school had developed with their architects, IID. Each year group was represented with a different colour and animal habitat, from The Rainforest zone to Woodland area. The concept revolved around using bold, single colour silhouettes on the walls and applying matching colour-coded classroom names to each of the new doors throughout the school.
The final solution included thirty distinctive vinyl wall graphics, nearly 40 door vinyls, over 100 linear metres of window manifestations, two external signs and a bespoke foyer display.
All sixteen classrooms around the building required bespoke wall graphics, some of which were highly complex. These were complemented by additional colour-coded wall graphics in the foyer, corridors and main hall.
Every door in the building required an individual colour-coded vinyl band, matching the nearby wall graphic. Window manifestations continued the same colour-coding and used school branding on all glass doors to create bespoke window graphics that reinforce the brand and also comply with safety regulations.
The bold colour-coding for each area of the building, including painted feature walls, required us to produce precise colour-matching across a number of printed materials to deliver a cohesive finish.
In addition, we designed a bespoke display for the building foyer with updateable panels, creating a high impact and cohesive display of school values and images that suits the space and complements the other signage.
The internal wall graphics are big and bold, transforming the internal spaces with a colourful, fun look and feel that Junior School pupils can identify with. The external signage is of high quality and beautifully compliments the architectural details that IID have designed.
The installation of all elements spanned a year and included three distinct phases. At every stage we needed to work closely with the School, Architect and Construction Company to produce detailed graphics, delivered on-time with the overall building schedule.
The installation of our printed graphics onto different surfaces and finishes required careful consideration and application throughout, to ensure our graphics both looked good and would last.
